Chain System

Chain drives can be fitted in barns with a slatted floor, but also in stalls with a solid floor. The scraper is pulled through the barn at a speed of 3 meters per minute. Three drive systems are available, each with its own capacity:

  • A system with an electrical engine of 0.37 kW and a circuit length of 100 meters,
  • A system with an electrical engine of 0.55 kW and a circuit length of 200 meters,
  • A system with an electrical engine of 0.75 kW and a circuit length of 250 meters,

The above values are based on a system with two scrapers on a solid floor. If you so wish, the drive station can also be used as a corner wheel. Just like many other systems, the chain drive can be controlled via a digital switch cabinet. The advantage is, among others, that the scraper can be set in frost protection mode. The chain drive is usually delivered with a chain of 13 mm. If necessary, you can also obtain other drive stations with other chain widths.

In the case of a chain drive, the slatted floor will usually be fitted with a standard slatted scraper or a super-clean slatted scraper. These scrapers are available in different widths. Different scrapers can be fitted for solid floors, such as the combi- scraper or the fold scraper. The scrapers for solid floors are also available in different widths. The ideal is to galvanise the chain into the concrete via a chain gutter. But you can of course also choose to keep the chain on the floor.

For cleaning the waiting space, scrapers can be delivered in combination with a fence. The scraper can be driven with a chain drive or, for example, with a hydraulic system.

Duo Compact 2

The Duo Compact is available in two versions. The Duo Compact I and the Duo Compact II. Thanks to its 0.25 kW electrical engine, the Duo Compact I is particularly appropriate for barns with a circuit length of up to 100 meters. This is true for both slatted floors and solid floors. Whenever you order a Duo Compact I you will receive two drive units per scraper system. The scraper is pulled in each direction by one of the drive units, while the other drive unit lowers the cable.

The Duo Compact II is the older brother of Duo Compact I. The Duo Compact II has two systems, each with its own capacity:

  • A system with an electrical engine of 0.55 kW and a circuit length of 200 meters,
  • A system with an electrical engine of 0.75 kW and a circuit length of 250 meters,

The above values are based on a system with two scrapers on a solid floor. When more scrapers are added, the circuit length decreases. Just like in the case of Duo Compact I, the system is delivered with two drive units per scraper system.

Jumbo System

The Jumbo cable drive has an electrical engine of 0.37kW and a drum capacity for 75 meters length of cable. The system is appropriate for a maximum length of 150 meters. Inside the housing of the Jumbo there is a drum that unrolls the cable on one side and winds it in on the other side. In this way, one length of cable equal to the length of the barn is always on the drum, which prevents the cable from slipping or being displaced. An adjusting spindle with a synthetic central cap guarantees that the windings are laid on the drum exactly after each other. The Jumbo can control two scrapers.

Rope Scraper System

The cord drive is characterised by the easy fitting on the floor, which allows the system to occupy very little space. Thanks to the stainless barn flooring you can rely on a system that will work well for years. Just as in the case of Duo Compact drives, the scraper system functions with two drive stations per scraper system. The scraper is pulled in each direction by one of the drive units, while the other drive unit lowers the cable. The cord drive is exceptionally appropriate for alleys that are not of equal length, or for three alleys.

The big advantages of using the type with cord are:

  • The service life of the cord (polyester compound 18mm, with a breaking load of 5500kg), in combination with recovery and shortening possibilities.
  • Extremely animal friendly.
  • Self-adjusting. Clamping is not necessary, therefore less maintenance time.
  • The electrical engines have a capacity of only 0.37 kW, adjusted for the real load. In this way, it is safer to adjust the system.
  • Low scraper speed. For a barn of 45 meters, a maximum of 3.5 meters per minute.

This system can be fitted to both slatted floors and solid floors. Depending on climate conditions, the maximum circuit length is at approximately 150 meters (based on two scrapers on a solid floor). When more scrapers are added, the circuit length decreases.
